Questions about ATI's Crossfire
Ok im building a new computer, and i plan on duelcarding the x1600xt. only i dont know if the cards that im getting will support true crossfire power. This is because i read this on new egg forums.
GPU Radeon X1900 CrossFire Edition
above is what it says for the x1900, on the other hand my card only says x1600xt crossfire supported video card, and it doesnt have that for the gpu. it also says on features for my card crossfire supported. But the thing i am most worried about is this.
the link is really massive above but the black cord you see is for duelcarding only my card doesnt come with those yet it says you can duelcard with mine.
none of this makes sense to me, was hoping someone could clear it up for me
oh and if the link doesnt work just post and tell me

The first place to look is the ATI Crossfire site:
I'm guessing your x1600xt is PCIe.
You would need to get a Crossfire capable motherboard. You need to have 2 of the same series of cards, s oyou can't use a x1900 with your x1600 card. the x1600s don't require the link cable.

did you read the link?
yes, you just need 2 x1600xt cards. there is no "crossfire" edition card for the x1600 series.
