How about xtremenotebooks.com? Very good service and support reviews! Unfortunately the wife and I have to decide today. Sager looks good but on the inexpensive side with few bells and whistles. Wife REFUSES to buy a dell (Great for the wife of AMD Guy, no? ) She has to deal with them on a daily basis and says that their software support ****s. Configuring the Sagers to the full top end puts them in the same price range as the others, $ 3,000-4,000. Xtreme looks good with more extras and a separate warranty on the TFT display. Sager has the $ 200.00 no dead pixel plan as well. I think I will order one of the Xtremes and let you all know how it goes.

I also think VoodooPC and Hypersonic rebrand the Clevos, though obviously you end up paying a hefty premium for the paintjobs and those names on the case. Otherwise they're basically the same laptops.
My laptop was around $2400, and similarly configured laptops from other retailers were more in the $2800-3000 range. I ain't paying $400-600 for an Alienhead logo.

I moved away from Alienware after what you and SJRacer had to say about his laptop literally burning up. Also the Alienware systems are unproven. Their first shipments will not come out until later this month, around June 27th. I do not want to be on the bleading edge in a notebook, but it would have been nice to have an SLi noteboot. However the 7900 GTX go listed above should be pretty damn close to the m9700's dual 7900 GS go video cards. I did not want my son to have to rely on software optimization to get good frame rates in games being played on his laptop.

THat 7900 GTX is a screaming fast card.
I am sure you won't have any problems playing at full settings on any game you want to play.

I am waiting until the end of the year to do anything myself.
Laptop arrived today. Very nice and quite heavy at 11 lbs. Specs are good but not quite as good as I thought they might be. Specs are listed previously in this post. No adjustable items in the BIOS. Here are the results.
7900 GTX Go clocked at 500 / 1200
3DMARK 2005 = 8,055.
CPUMARK 99 = 255.
Sandra CPU = 20,297 / 6,924 / 9,016.
Sabdra MEM = 4,151 / 4,169.
Sandra MM = 41,804 / 44,613.
Memory scores are lower than I expected but this is a VIA K8T890 chipset.
Very nice MM score due to dual vore CPU.
