Just purchased a used one from a friend and it wont power on. I think there might be a problem with the DC jack but I cannot find what could be causing it. Ive disassembled everything and checked all wires, leads, chips and everything seems to be A-OK. The only thing thats wrong with the DC jack on the laptop is there seems to be a small crack in the plastic. However i dont see how this would cause it not to power on. If the battery is bad the laptop should still power up from the outlet adapter correct? Anyone know what could cause this problem or does anyone else know of any common problems i might run into with this laptop?
