Safe CPU Temp?

Whats the normal temp for a CPU? I have an Athlon 64 3700+ and it was at 54 Deg. Cel. after 10 min of POST.

it's still in the safe range but you should be able to get the temps down a little lower than that. depends on fans,case,organization,cleanliness,thermal compound.all of these things can affect temps.oh and of course room temp also. i would be worried if you see it go over 65.
