I have an Acer Travelmate 630 laptop i recieved as a gift, im pretty savvy as far as desktops go but this thing is a whole nother animal. I had the unit running off the power supply through a 300watt power inverter in my car. I was using one day and it simply shut off. The power supply has a green indicator LED on it. When the supply is plugged into a wall it glows bright green, if i then plug it into my laptop it begins flashing a dim green and wont do anything. Have i fried the power supply or have a i fried the laptop?
My initial guess is the power supply. At the very least, that will be the cheaper of the 2 parts to replace. Have you ever used the power inverter for other AC devices, or just the notebook?
