    7200rpm hdd need cooling?

Does a IBM 7200 10.1GB hdd need any cooling? What about SCSI hdds that runs at 10.000rpm?

I would cool a 7200 rpm hardrive in my machine mostly because of the extra heat that it adds to the case. As far as cooling 10,000 rpm scsi drives, absolutly!!

I've got a WD 7200 RPM 14.4 Gb that's been running about 3 mos. w/no additional cooling - no problems.

Never hurts to add additional cooling when using those high rev'ing scsi's, even if its just an extra case fan to remove the heat. The heat is not just doing a slow kill on your hdd only....
