Upgrade HD on Toshiba satellite 5205

I have Toshiba satellite 5205 s703, I want to upgrade the HD to the Hitachi travelstar E7K100 100GB ATA-6 7200rpm. Can anyone tell me if my machine will support this device, do I need to find a BIOS upgrade too??

thanks for that because Toshiba don't want to say anything, nor do the service center guys, they are all afraid. I can go ahead and order it, someone had said that the BIOS might not support it and there was a question about the heat generated?

Yeah, they don't like to let you open your system. It's understandable, since many people probably don't know what they are doing, break something, then try to make a warranty claim.

The drive should work, but you might consider a 5400rpm drive instead. The 7200rpm notebook drives do get quite hot, and they are a bigger drain on battery life. 5400rpm drives are pretty efficient and are reasonably fast for a notebook drive.
