[RESOLVED] Can's run recovery disks on Asus laptop

I have an Asus K501 running windows 7. Every 6 months I like to clean my laptop up by setting it back to factory default. I'll load my recovery disks in and turn on my computer and in no time I'm pretty much back to where I was the day I bought it.

This last time; however, nothing happened. Computer boots up normally and I don't get the recovery options. I have checked to make sure that my laptop does boot 1st from the cd/dvd drive so I don't know what's happening. Can someone help?

Did you try booting from any other discs? Maybe there's a problem with your optical drive.

I did some research and on boot up I pressed F9 and was able to boot to recovery disk and solve my problem.
