transfering ipod/itunes to another drive... how is that done

need to move a current library of ipod/itunes from a C-drive to a newly installed D-drive... how is this done, because if don't improperly the itunes software will DELETE all the song/library off the ipod, and of course that is NOT a desire effect!!

Well, I'm not sure if I can help exactly with the iPod, but if you can move your music collection anywhere you want, as long as you don't modify any of the folders and you move the library XML file, too. You can direct iTunes to the new XML path by going to the preferences section (see attached). I'm not 100% sure, but I think the XML file also contains the necessary information about your iPod (like the serial number and playlists). As long as iTunes has your original XML file, it should remember your iPod as well.
