    DVD/CD-ROM Drive Problem

    Lately, whenever i load a disc in the drive it sounds like its trying to start up, but eventually ejects.
    I've tried unistalling/reinstalling the the drive but that doesn't work.
    Is this a hardware or software problem?
    I'm running Windows XP home edition.

    Goto the Drive manufactors website and get the latest firmware update for the drive and flash it.
