    128MB or 256MB?

My cousin just upgraded his rig and he was asking me about what video card to get. He's got his eyes on a GF6600 (non-GT) since the price is cheap. But he can't decide on whether to get a 128MB (550MHz) or 256MB (500MHz). Which one should be a better buy (or should go faster)?

Be very carefull some of this cards are 64 bit - sloooooow
Its much more important that you get the memory path right - 128 bit, then the amount of memory the card has.

I suggest you post the link or state the exact model of the card (manufacturer)

Both of 'em are ASUS cards. EN6600TD to be exact. Yes, both of 'em have 128-bit memory.

go for the more ram if you can, the 50mhz on the core isnt going to make or break framerates. 128mb 6600GT's are going for $150, it would be something to consider as it would be faster then a 256mb 6600 regular in most games

128 bit is much more useful than 256Mb memory

I agree with Krupted... the GT is definately worth the consideration, even with the smaller frame buffer.
