Lets put it this way, not much if monitor has well implemented VGA port like for example some older IIyama LCDs do, huge if it doesnt. So IMO not worth a risk, get a DVI equiped LCD.
The advantage of DVI is subtle but unmistakeable. I've put in 5 20" UXGA LCDs at home and at work. In each installation, I've first replaced the monitor while keeping the VGA card. The first reaction is always..."wow this is fantastic!" After a day or two I put in a Matrox P650 DVI card and the reaction is "wow, this is much better!" Unless you go DVI you're most likely not reaching your display's potential. The result is sharper, better to look at. Worth the few extra bucks...
only because every review and every person ive talked say to go for that one. Benq is a subsidary of Acer, so the brand name would scare me as well. For some reason it seems that hyundai is just that much better then anything else right now, some reviews peg it at number 2 or 3 but only topped by monitors twice the price.
The newegg reivews however do seem to have consistant complaints about dying monitors, i dont know if its just the hyundai's or not.

So far there seems to be few complaints with the BenQ one. I was looking at some dells for about the same price, 300ish, but the response time was like 20ms. Since I play alot of games, that does not seem to be good enough. The rebate is good till the 29th so I have some time. 259$ for a 19" monitor is pretty damn good though, even for an off brand, but it still scares me lol! Any other thoughts?
dont pay too much attention to specs, ghosting can occur worse on low delay panels sometimes. its the overall quality you have to look for, which seems to be the reason everyone bids for the hyundai
