    Wanting To Upgrade Laptop Components

I have a Dell C600 and i must say it's an alright laptop. But i want to upgrade a few things. Like memory and video card.

How do i go about in looking in what kind of memory and video card i need? I got this laptop as a present and don't know much about it. Basically my knowledge is Home PC > Laptop. haha.

    Thanks guys.

99% sure you cant replace your video card. and i would go to dell's support website to find what memory you need.

Everest or another of the hardware reporting utilities can be a help in telling you what's in there. Everest can give a detailed report on the memory.

    You can refer to Dell.

The two best upgrades to an older laptop for general use are more ram and a faster hdd. One of the current 5400rpm 8Mb cache drives can really perk them up.

check your hardware system, make sure your memory type. sdram 100MH or 130MHZ, and what's motherboard slot support! some motherboard do not manage large memory.(because the major chipset do not support)
