2 videocards?

Okay many people choose the Nvidia 7800 because you can put two of them in your Mobo etc, how does that help? does it actually help with graphics? or just give you better results if your using more than one monitor?

its a technology called sli, which lets you use two pci express graphics cards. it almost doubles graphics performance, only thing is the cards have to be EXACTLY the same, bios and everything.

so i can use any 2 graphics cards? but they are the same? cuz im getting a mobo with 2 pci express 16 slots

not any 2, they have to be nvidia gpus and they have to be exactly the same. if you buy one 7800 now and one in 6 months, theres a good chance it wont work because of bios updates and upgrades. they have to be exactly the same.
