All I have to say is DAMN Dell for having these sales. Just took advantage of their $750 off coupon for 700m's over $1,499. I guess it was good timing as my 8600 was either stolen 3 weeks ago out of my apartment or I left it in a hotel room and the cleaning people took it... Either way, I was in need of a new laptop anyway and after experiencing the 8600 while traveling I began to appreciate why people liked the smaller laptops. So here is the new guy:
Inspiron 700m IntelŪ PentiumŪ M Processor 735 (1.70 GHz/400MHz FSB)12.1-in WXGA
Memory 256MB DDR SDRAM 1 Dimm (bought 1GB from crucial for $133)
Hard Drive 60 GB Hard Drive
Network Adapters Integrated Network Card
CD ROM/DVD ROM 8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer Wireless Networking Card IntelŪ PRO/Wireless 2200 Internal Wireless
Primary Battery 4-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery (32WHr)
That's about the jist of it. All told, with 2 day shipping it cost me $824. SO what do ya'll think, good deal or not?
