my mate passed his today and from 10am thismorning untill now (quarter to 9pm) weve done 100 miles flying about! he even gave me a shot of the car down a back road which was fun, only a 1.2 16V corsa though which isn't as fast as mine which is still slow!

lol first thing we done with my mate was go to mcdonalds too!

then we got to hit the motorway and a lorry was flying up behind us and we were running out of slip road and the car was too slow to pull away, scarey ****!

Congratulations dude. There's probably only one 'first time' which beats the first time you can drive a car with no instructor sat there

It's so cool when you and your friends (or g/f) can suddenly go wherever you want, without having to catch buses or nag your parents.

I don't wanna sound like your Dad, but please be careful though! I did some stupid things when I was 17, like overtaking on a blind corner to keep up with some friends. Another time I overtook someone on a single-lane road, but there was a coach coming the other way and my little Ford had nowhere near enough power to get past in time. The coach had to pull right over onto the verge to make room for me to get through. I quickly learnt that a Ford Escort 1.1 doesn't accelerate as fast as a Ferrari
