Dual DVI connectors on video card

I haven't bought a video card since my radeon 9700. I just saw a new Radeon with dual DVI connectors -Im not even really sure what DVI is - I think its for LCD's. But whats with dual connectors? Would that produce the same image on each monitor or will it create like a "virtual desktop" or whatever where its like your one desktop is enlarged to spread accross both monitors -Thanks

Depends on how the configuration works, you can make the same picture on two monitors, or you can stretch your desktop to two monitors. If you don't have a DVI using monitor, you can get converters for like 5 dollars.
