    x800XL OC'd

Anyone know of a currently selling ATI x800XL card that is OC'd and better HS by the Manufacturer?

I believe HIS used to make one, but I think it was their "turbo" version, which it doesn't look like newegg sells anymore

Haven't seen one that's overclocked out of the box but all come with some variation of OVERDRIVE which makes things pretty simple and "safe". The R430 core the X800XL uses doesn't actually have that much headroom but the memory can be pushed quite a bit. There's a roundup here:

The one I'm thinking of came with an upgraded fan as well, since usually if you replace the fan on the VC it'll also void the warranty.

I thought I remember someone talking about it on a thread here within the last few months, but darn if I remember who or what card exactly!

    HIS Hightech PQS80LN-6I-ZPC Radeon X800XL 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail $279 +$3.99 shipping.

As for factory overclocked, the only one I saw listed on NewEgg was a Connect3D one that had the memory rated at 1000Mhz instead of 980Mhz. Not worth bothering with. Sapphire also has a nicely cooled one that blows the heat outside the case like the HIS one, but it only partially covered the memory at best. The HIS one cools the memory too.

Thats it thats it.......I think, haha!

I thought it was also OC'd a lil by the factory too! Well I guess if it at least has a better cooling it's worth it considering the fan factor price on the side!

Once again Todd A you come through! CHEERS bro!

It really did not cost that much. On NewEgg only 2 were just $1 cheaper and one form Diamond was $9 less, but also had a $20 rebate making it only $250, but if you do not care for rebates and want the better cooling, this is a great deal.
