Hey, I was wondering if anyone here other than myself designs, or has some interest in, digital art. I've had Photoshop on my computer for as long as I can remember, but I just recently started getting serious about it. I've taken up an interest in web design, and I've got most of the coding down, but I figure if I'm going to make any money from it, I'll probably need to be able to design a template as well.
Well, I'm working on my first website template right now (it's not going so well), but I've got a few signatures from various forums I've made over time that I can show you. If you've got any digital art to display, post it here so we can admire each other's work.

I've really gotten into 3d graphics/animation in the last year. Been doing mostly tutorials to get the hang of it. Here's my only (nearly) finished project.
Just threw in a basic 3d figure to show the detail. Just gotta finish the rims, the underbody and do some fine detail (maybe some decals/graphics)

Not sure if it's strictly art, but I got quite into a cool landscape generator called Terragen last year.
It's one of those programs that makes it easy to create a mediocre scene, but takes quite a bit of experimentation with lighting, etc. to get a really good result.

Anybody else ever get into 3d graphics\animation? I know it can get pricey, but it's been well worth it

Thats freaking aways insanity, What did you use 3dsm or c4d?
I Use c4d to make renders of abstract sometimes, never really got into 3dsm.
I always wanted to try to model a car tho did you use point to point modeling or what and do you have a tutorial you can post up that you used? Or did you do that all your self.
I used C4D, and actually created thousands of polygon objects for the body. That's what took the longest. Didn't use a single tutorial, but the main one was Chevy Bel Air tutorial.
Another good site is Pixel2life.com . They have plenty of good stuff there.
Only bad part is that any extra plugins needed are an extra cost, sometimes not cheap ($100-300 range!)

Well, I thought I'd show you guys my first true animation! There's no funny characters, no goofy sounds. Something simple to start off with. It's a small portion of the render, only 135 frames. Will tweak it a bit, and another 600 frames or so tomorrow! What do you guys think?

The cool thing is the water in the lamp flows with the lava, and watch the shadows on the floor behind the lamp
I think I'm going to start getting into character animation now, have the weekend off to spend. Just need to start off with a unique character. Anyone have ideas?
