Cable/Internet Providers in the NY/NJ area

Hey all,

I am moving down to NJ next week and I am trying to get my Cable/Internet service hooked up as soon as possible. I was wondering if you guys in the NJ/NY area (specifically Weehawken) use for providers... I know Comcast is down there as well, but I was wondering what the alternatives are. I would like to be able to get Internet and Cable all at once, I need HD service and I would like at least 1 movie channel.

So what do you guys have for opinions/options?

If they have comcast go with them.Not sure on that area specificly but i know comcast has monopolized my area in md.You get a discount with comcast for getting both internet and cable through them.They are expensive though and their customer service ****s.

i have insight, which is owned by comcast. their service people on the phone are basically idiots but they do answer and they are nice at least....

i pay $103 a month for internet and cable, so watch out because i did get a discount as well... its expensive but so is your time when you have to download gigs of stuff

Cable will be your best choice overall if you want both TV and Internet combined along with HD.

It will also be faster than the other choices.

Comcast is pretty good really, service wise from what I heard when I used to be in the business.

Time Warner's been great for me, but I dunno if they're in Joisey.

Thanks for all the help guys. And after all this, I am going with Comcast. It just seems like they offer the most, and the discount on the internet service is a plus as well. To bad they don't have something like NFL sunday ticket though, I am going to get sick of watching Jets and Giants games. I was spoiled by the Patriots up here!
