I'm too paranoid to use any spam filters as well, so I always have them turned off. On hotmail, when I had the spam filter on, I missed important emails from uni, and from people on ebay. I found junk mail in my inbox, with "possible spam" tagged onto it, and perfectly legitimate mail in my junk folder.
Is there any spam filtering that you can really trust? Don't you still have to sift through all the stuff it has filtered to make sure there's nothing you need in there?

I use Mcafees.
What I do is check the mail it traps then you have the option of rescuing it and adding a friend.
After awhile it lets through just the ones you want.
the only real solution is for more effective legislation to be introduced to punish spammers.
There have been a few headline stories recently, one guy had his porsche taken away, and I think another guy was jailed for 9 years, but overall I don't think the current legislation has had any impact whatsoever on levels of spam.

My personal emails all have spam setting on high, which means anyone not on my contact list doesn't make it to the inbox. Extreme, but I no longer see a single spam email at all, except on my work email.
I did like that reaction of Bill Gates 2 years ago:
"Like almost everyone, I receive a lot of spam every day, much of it offering to help me get out of debt or get rich quick. It's ridiculous."
... yes indeed.
Looking intelligent takes more than looking coool.
The odd thing is that they know I have a 2 inch penis that cant get an erection. I mean who tells them these things. And whats with all the porn then? Are they just cruel?
