Thumbs up Educational computer game from UN

I was reading the news, and came across this story about a free computer game called, "Food Force." Check out the story here.

This is my first post in the Lounge, so I thought this may be of interest to the HWC community that has kids. I don't have kids, but I think the game is a great idea.

I am sorry to be a party pooper, but what is this game supposed to teach kids?

That its OK that better part of the world lives in poverty and one should learn how to feed them via UN WFP.

Then how to feed them, yet forgets to tell you that more likely then not it was your own goverment responsible for the war in the first place.

I would much rather have them learn one should not be OK with the way the world is and should actively participate in changing the way things work.
Teach them pen is mightier then sword.

    Let them read books instead.

What's wrong with educating children about the plight of the millions of hungry people throughout the world. It's my opinion that educating them about this would help bring about the change that you mention.

If one were to avoid teaching this than we would continue on with the status quo.
