Played it for the first time in ages the other day and the opening verse reminded me of being 14-15 at a school dance. It was one of those songs that wasn't really upbeat enough to dance to and not slow enough to be an excuse to go and proposition one of the more charitable/sympathetic girls. So everybody just stood around and you'd occasionally hear "oh, i luv dis song. wicked!".
Same kind of period as Street Spirit, incidentally. Didn't like Radiohead back then - I thought they were depressing, even though at the time I was into listening to 20 minute long jazz toons. Haha.

You know you are old when you do not even recognize any of the music that others are listening too!
Except for the Don Mclean, but I never liked that song anyway.

Ooh, ooh, me, me, that's me!!!!
I liked Don McLean though. Carly Simon makes me feel the same way. I had a serious post-pubescent boy thing for her.
Things equal to other things are not necessarily the same.

guess that was international standard then
sounds very familiar lol
and yeah, radiohead sounds depressing, but that's what i like about the voice anyway. radiohead is one of those bands you have to listen to for quite some time, before you start to like them...
