It's not like that P4 isn't drawing enough current already. Now someone's going to put another 6.5amp draw on it? And what happened to the "keep the beverages away from the expensive electronics" rule. I guess enough tech support people got calls about "the powered cupholder tray broke off."
I can just picture an idiot with a car power inverter plugging in to this to power the computer.
Any one else have anything as bad as this?

If that's true, then I guess it's my pencil that makes spelling mistakes.
Not so long ago at work, I (for a joke) added a button into the software I was writing that said 'cup holder'. Pressing it opened the cd-rom drive They made me remove it in the end though.

Several years back my cousin wrote a program - I guess it could be a trojan really - that had a client/server setup. The part he gave me was completely silent. His part had all kinds of features like Eject CD, move mouse random # of pixels when clicking, close active program (without saving, of course), display text box (to taunt victims), etc.
Really ticked me off because he put it on my computer when he came to visit (he lived 30 miles away), and he didn't use it for 3-4 months. Suddenly all this weird crap starts happening.
At least he was nice enough to tell me it was him after he had his fun, and how to get rid of it.
If the military is going after Bin Ladin's computers, I assure you some guy's trying to figure out why his cd is ejecting.
