Quite a lot has changed since the last pictures. I fancied a change and so got my hands on a Coupe front bumper and re-designed my grille by cutting out the central tooth and spraying it body colour. Personally, I think the car looks so agressive from the front... just going to get a splitter to finish it off.
Other mods are, the 16" MG Hairpin alloy wheels, 3.5" Scorpion backbox and full system with de-cat, it also has a full MG ZR half leather interior with red seat bolster inserts and I've also fitted a rear strut brace which has improved the handling no-end.
I'm currently saving up for its respray, because as you can see, I went a bit OTT with the filler and primer
After the bodywork has been done, I'll upgrade the brakes, fit a front strut brace and change to some performance suspension struts. That'll be it for a while, until later next year when I do my turbo conversion.
Thank god for pay rises at work!

Staying the same colour. Can't afford/be bothered with the the hassle of informing the DVLA if I change colour.
And you don't see too many 200 3 door hatches in this colour... in fact, I've only seen 2 others. Also, it looks fantastic when polished up, being metallic.
Did a bit of work on it today. Where I'd previously sanded down and primed the doors, it had started to rust through, so I got rid of the rust and coated it in Hammerite. In a few days, I'll get a tin of 'charcoal' spray paint and spray it on. Not really bothered if it's a crap job, as it's only a temporary fix to stop it rusting until it goes into the bodyshop.
Next weekend should be fun though.. my manifold to downpipe gasket has split again and a bit of it has fallen into the downpipe, causing it to vibrate and rattle at low revs... so the entire downpipe has to come off so that I can get this piece of metal out. Balls!

Looking to get an RX7 or Nissan 200SX 1.8T, both long time wants of mine, mostly for fun and doin stuff on as i'm using public transport 99% of the time now. Almost bought a Saab 95 but it looked too 'old geezer car' for me lol.

By the way, what does BTW stand for?
It is better to be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

not when its got 400bhp on the standard internals, saab and volvo engines are bullet proof lol
ive not got 130,000 miles and stuffs starting to go wrong regularly so the 2 options ive got is spend a lot replacing every part that needs done or buy a new car, insurance is killing me for anything faster tho so not sure

I do like the new shape Saab 9-3, looked at one the other day but it was the TiD. 125bhp in a big-ish car does not make for very good performance.
As you say, Justin, the old 9-5 looks a bit old man now, and the new shape just looks plain awful - what have they done to the front? It looks like it's wearing gold-rimmed glasses like Dame Edna Everage.
I'm looking around at the moment, have my heart set on an Audi S3 but don't think I can quite afford one unless it's very high mileage. Otherwise I quite like the Fiat Coupe 20v turbo, they give the same performance for less money but don't look quite as nice IMO.
Martin, I guess it depends how much you are having to spend on your Clio. There is the old saying 'better the devil you know' - if you change your car you could still buy a load more trouble - at least you know all your Clio's rattles and quirks. My friend bought a Passat last year and the cambelt snapped a month after he bought it! I think the garage told him it'd been changed when it actually hadn't.

yeah I think most are these days. Cambelt was what I always dreaded breaking on my old Alfa V6, as apparently it's usual for at least 20 of the valves to need replacing!

well he went back to the garage where he bought it, and they had vanished into thin air!
So he called the RAC (who the warranty was with) and gave them the reference number, and they said that was an old, expired warranty and there was nothing they could do. So by all accounts, he was royally shafted! Not sure what the bill was but you can be certain it was four figures.
So you're after some Jap RWD action Justin? Go for the RX7, looks much nicer than the 200SX, IMO. As long as you can stomach those fuel bills
