That kind of crap really sux. Here in michigan we dont even have to sniff tailpipes. The Camaro is actually newer than I wanted but it was something to work with. Been a hot rodder since the early 70s and had many interesting vehicles. I just love cruising and looking for some competition on the weekends. I absolutely revel in the thought of smoking some snot nosed punk in a 5.0 Mustang whose stereo is louder than his exhaust. Hey, and old fart has to have his fun!!!

Hey Martin, my question always is: How much better will this sound than your home stereo? If so, do you really spend more time in your car than you do at home? Just curious. I have an Alpine CD/MP3/FM with 20 watts RMS per channel and four speakers and it completely fills my Contour or my TransAm with music. *shrugs*
Things equal to other things are not necessarily the same.

I regularly ask that of people. Between road noise, engine noise, and the a-holio behind me, I've yet to hear any difference at a noise level that didn't induce permanent hearing loss.
well ive not got the stuff yet, but when im driving ill be spending ALOT of time in my car.
its like a competition between all us boy racers here. cant insure a fast car so just build up a good sound system. Helps pull the ladies

My setup before adding the subs was a big step up from the factory unit, but I like a good low-end punch too, so having the twin 12" Sony subs really helped that. I also bought a 1-farad capacitor for the amp so the headlights would quit dimming.
My setup:
Kenwood EZ500 deck with Sirius Satellite Radio tuner
Rockford Fosgate 3 1/2" coaxial dash speakers
Sony 6 3/4" coaxial front door speakers
Pioneer 6x9 triaxial package shelf speakers (sorrt I can't remember the model numbers off the top of my head, and it looks like they've all been discontinued since I got them) this amp for the subs
A pair of pentagon-shaped Sony subs similar to this one this sub box

Untill 3 months ago I had a 1985 Toyota Corona with 204000 km's. It needed about $1200 (aussie dollar) spent on it. So I sold it and got a 1995 Toyota Corrolla with 85000 km's.
