What car do you drive?

i always think its funny to see the american cars which all have V6 engines etc and are all massive compaired to our little cars! but like you say its all the euro cars

Our roads are bigger. In fact, most things are, here. I'll never forget my shock upon visiting the UK for the 1st time, and seeing that cars couldn't pass each other on your side streets. One of them has to pull over and let the other pass. In america that would result in a fatality, most likely.

I noticed the same when we were out in Australia. We rented a Ford Falcon - bit bigger than a Mondeo. Build quality was way below what you'd expect from a Mondeo, and it was a tad bigger. However it did have a brutal 4.0L V6 and was substantially cheaper to buy!

I should post here since its the first post and CS got the honors.

Well I still have the black 85 full size manual blazer when the last OT forum was here, a rebuild later after doing a thousand homes of setting up cable in customers machines in one year. Really runs better now than those days, think it was running on 6 cylinders as it hit its last legs. Now I can go up a hill no sweat and crunch other cars with speed, ha.

Wow funny you should mention a falcon in australia cause my old man bought one when they first came out, after a few trips to florida I was driving it to the candy store, flashback.

biggest engine you see over here is a 2.5 V6 really and even that is rare, the odd 3.0 BMW or merc but mainly 1.2 upto 2.0 16V engines

Yeah, the engines here tend to be a hell of a lot smaller and we've got a lot more Diesels than the states too. Even our X5's only have 3.0l engines.

If you guys are all diesel then your good candidates for cheap gas http://www.biodiesel.org/ , any diesel engine can run it straightaway.

All you need is vegetable oil if you have enough restaurants and a certain chemical to convert and your in business to setup anywhere on the cheap.

Anyway, back OT in OT, I own a 1993 Fiat Uno 1.0L IE Start.

Can't drive yet though as I've not passed my test (the shame of it, and I'm nearly 22 ). Once I've passed, I'm gonna be on the lookout for a fairly sizeable motor - was in Nick's (CS) Golf last weekend and I crave one now, if only for that lush TDi unit

Aye tis illegal over here though and due to the red exhaust fumes police know fairly quickly

Yep down here they actually run occasional side road "fuel control", though its mainly targeted at the transit truckers.

BTW its better to check whats legal in EU then bother with all the illegalities, much less searching needed

Honestly though, i really dont think the stuff matters a great deal. It will be nice to run the remainder of the deisel engines when they stop making them with the stuff, but in 50 years everything will be running on hydrogen fuel cells.... in most parts of the world anyway
