I'm building a new machine, as my old one is getting a bit decrepit (abt 6 years old now). I'm using a msi neo plat mobo, amd 64 3400+ & planning on 2 gigs of crucial PC2700 ram. My question is: What company makes the best bang for the buck gamer vid card? I am looking to spend between $150 - $300. It has been a while since I have followed all the latest technology in this area & that is why I am asking you guys, the experts.

Why not PC3200? You will be holding your board and CPU back with only PC2700?
Cause I am retarded & I was thinking about what speed my friends mobo was clocking his ram down to rather than what I have on order. I am actually planning to get 2 1 gig sticks of PC3200 crucial ram. Sorry about the confusion.
i love my 6600GT and it playes any game i want it to at full settings!
if you get that, with the money you save get some low latency ram which will help quite abit too.
my mates got that board with a 3500+ and he had 1GB Geil Value like me but one of the sticks died so instead of waiting for his replacement he just ordered some Corsair XMS and says that its quite abit faster than the geil, and its not hard to notice.
Shuttle System l Intel Core2Extreme l 8GB Ram l 64GB OCZ SSD l Windows 7 Ultimate X64
IBM ThinkPad T60 l 2GHz Core2Duo l 4GB Ram l 60GB Kingston SSD l Windows 7 Ultimate X64
ive seen the XFX supported alot on this board, and completely shunned on another. however, the leadtek seems to be supported unanimously. i would go leadtek.
