    Question

Hello everyone. It's been quite some time since I last checked in here. I've got a question for you all, though.

I am looking at upgrading my PC to better suit my gaming needs. Right now I've got a GeForce FX 5200 and it does pretty poorly in the games I play, usually getting me an average of around 15FPS. I was looking at the 256MB GeForce FX 5700 and the 128MB GeForce 6600GT. My question is this: Would it be better to go with a lower end card with more memory, or a higher end card with less memory? I am also looking to upgrade my CPU to a AMD Athlon 3200+ and also upgrade my current ram to 1024MB if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I already looked at your review. That doesn't answer my question, though.

Would it be better to go with a lower end 256MB card (5700), or a higher end 128MB card (6600GT)?

With the card you listed, I'd definately say the 128MB 6600GT. The 5700 will probably not let you to use playable settings and resolutions to really take advantage of 256MB IMO

    Ok, thanks.
I was looking on Newegg for a 256MB version of the 6600GT, but I didn't see it. Do they not have a 256MB version, or does Newegg just not carry them?
