And yers that is componant out and video in and video out plus dual DVI and dual convertors. Not too bad of a package... for $600!

Looks cool. It's funny how much trouble NV got in for taking 2 slots up, now it's becoming standard. I like the idea, personally, since it vents heat that would otherwise stagnate. I wonder how long it will be before SFF makers start accommodating for these larger cards? So what if they would be an inch wider? I say put a window on the side and show that bad-boy off.
putting the VGA silencer on my card droped my case temps by a 2-4C which i think in a SFF machine would be quite a good adition.
plus ive got 5 PCI slots with one used so taking another up doesnt bother me.

Well the main reason nVidia got ripped apart for it was theirs not only took up an extra slot, but it was VERY loud. The jokes about using it as a leaf blower or hair drier was justified. To top it all off, the card was delayed and the performance was much worse than expected. They basically screwed over the people that preordered it too as they only made enough for them, then replaced it about a month later with a better card.
Also ATI only is using the two slot for the XT version (I think) and will have other versions without it that run only a little slower. It is also the only why they could cool it that much without being really loud. Removing that extra heat from the case is good too. Most of these new high-end graphics card generate more heat than the even the hottest CPUs. The GeForce 6800U uses up to 120w and the P4 Prescott 3.8Ghz uses 115w. I think this is a bad trend and they need to do something about it.

Yah so. If you are spending $600 on a graphics card I think you could spring another $100 or so on a new motherboard. Of course some of us already have a PCI-e motherboard!

I just hope they'll get a regular X800 with AGP 8x in time for sprint. I'm waiting for this to upgrade my ol' 9600...
I don't know what happened with the PCI Express to AGP bridge for ATi, seems to take longer than expected (or they really don't care for AGP, as Todd said )
