I found a comparision of the last three drivers here:
The cool thing is they use a Radeon x700Pro for the benchmarks. The performance gains in Half Life 2 are VERY nice:
At 1600x1200 it goes from 85.36fps with 4.11, to 100.7fps with 4.12, to 113.58fps with 5.1 drivers. That is a 33% increase from the 4.11 to 5.1drivers... well at least with the x700Pro! 113 at 1600x1200 is pretty nice. Heck sinse I have 256MB GDR3 on this thing I bet it could do 2x AA and 8x AF pretty easy, if not 4x AA. I will have to try this out.
Edit- Yup runs 1600x1200 2x 16x MAX everything smooth as silk. My GPU temps get really high in this game though.
Edit2- I even tried Doom3 at 1280x1024 VERY HIGH QUALITY with 2xAA and it actually was quite playable at around 30FPS, but would give a bit of stutter everytime you went into a new area with differant textures. They devided the levels up for HQ and 256MB memory, so running VHQ with 256MB makes it cache the textures quite often.... especially with 2xAA which uses up more memory. It sure does look nice though.
