Refurbished Video Cards (UK)

i found a site selling refurbished video cards with a 30 day RTB Warranty at prices that i was soo surprised i thought i needed to post it here.

they include:

ATI Radeon 9800 128MB - £94 including VAT
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro All In Wonder 128Mb - £111 inc VAT
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB - £74 inc. VAT
ATI Radeon 9700 128 MB Graphics Card - £47 inc. VAT

does anyone think that a 9700 would be flashable to a 9700PRO?

The cores usually had no problems going to the Pro speeds or higher. It is the memory that might not, but with a 256 memory bus, this is not a big deal. I'd get it and just try to overclock it. Those AIW cards look good to if they come with the remotes and cable, but most refurbished ones do not.

The 9700NP is away already looks like i might get the 9700PRO then, how fast when overclocked (with or without new cooling) will the 9700PRO be compaired to a 9800PRO and my 9600XT

It likely can match the 9800Pro and smoke the 9600XT.

If it helps in anyway, ti4200 I had was OCed to 4600 and without using FSAA, should have been about as fast as 9600PRO is today.

When I got R9800PRO (RIP ) the difference in games was definitely worth the money even in CPU bound UT2003/2004.
