Do I need a PCI w/tv out if I have tv out on my DVD 3rd gen decorder card
I need some help on this topic. I have a creative dvd III with tv/out and digital sound. To be able to use the TV as monitor for non-dvd use do I need a tv/out on the video card. The dvd does have a patch cable from the video card to the decoder card.
Most dvd decoder cards to date do not put the desktop on your tv, they just process the dvd video to be played back on your tv. Your pci/agp video card will need to have tv out if you want to see your desktop or play games on your tv.
Check with the documentation with your dvd kit, it should tell you in there.
