I am planning to buy a monitor. I am deliberating between 2 choices here :

Dell 2001fp - 20" - 1600x1200 - 16ms - $735 (including tax and shipping)

Viewsonic 912b - 1280x1024 - 12ms - $680 (including tax and shipping)

I intend to use this monitor for playing as well as developing games. I play games like farcry, thief, BF Vietnam and Rise of Nations.

I currently have an AMD 3500 with a BFG GeForce 6800 Ultra.

Which of the 2 deals do you think is better in terms of current quality (without ghosting and color reproduction for playing as well as 3D modelling for games) and future compatibility ?
