Repeated emails to Matrox tech support have gone unanswered, so any information would be greatly appreciated.
I know that Win98 is supposed to support multiple video displays, but I need some specific information. My primary display is via a Matrox G-200 AGP card on an ASUS P2B motherboard.
Can I also use my old Matrox Mystique 220/
Rainbow Runner combination in a PCI slot so I can utilize the Rainbow Runner's video capture capabilities?
If I can, is there any reason why I couldn't route the signals from the two cards through an A-B switch and use one monitor, rather than two?
In theory, it is possible. We use simlar setups already. It will not harm the system or the cards to have them both in at the same time. So, give it a shot before you buy the switch box. Worst case is that one will not pop up.
When you use the 2 cards you have to be sure
to use the drivers supplied by Matrox (for both cards).
When you use the standard drivers from Win98,
the combination will not work.
