vantec areoflow2 <=> areoflow1?

both of these heat sinks are pretty cheap and widely available. i've read some reviews saying they're great.. while others say 'ho-hum'... anyone have their own opinion on which is better?

i'm using the aeroflow 1...i like it...it cools considerably better than the stock hs/f...i considered getting the aeroflow 2 but decided against it...the aeroflow2 ditched the TMD fan for a tradition fan...this means that there's a dead spot right above the copper core of the heatsink...
also, if you're using it for a p4, apparently the contact area of the new aeroflow2 heatsink with the cpu is smaller than the heat spreader on the p4...so that a some bits of the cpu is actually not in contact with any part of the heatsink...

ya.. i have a aeroflow1 on my brothers computer. and it's great so far. kinda loud though.

i was hoping the areoflow2 would do the same, but quieter. having that dead spot in the centre isn't really that big of a deal as there is very little surface area there. but i'm sure every little bit counts..

I too have an aeroflow 1 on my friends computer that I built for him, thinking that it would be quieter because of the TMD fan. I was wrong. Does its job cooling, though, with a 2400+ T'Bred at stock it never gets above 38.
