Any suggestions on heat sink/fan???
I'd also like to do the best with the video card and memory. I've gotten as far as setting the cpu @ 11x184, any more and the system reboots. I wanna see this baby hit 2.4GHz if I can. Although money's no object, I'm alittle hesistant on going for water cooling. My best options are???
Aspire Turbo case w/6 case fans
Abit AN7 rev C1 nForce2 Ultra 400
AMD Athlon XP-M 2500+ @ 2.205GHz

if money is no option why did you order a 9200SE??
well get a thermalright copper Heatsink and a nice big 80MM fan. its probably rebooting because of the memory, try adjusting the timings from 2CL to 2.5CL or somthing, or giving the memory more voltage, infact firstly increase your Vcore

I never write posts agreeing with people, but in this case its necessary. Why did you get a 9200SE? That's slower than a 9000 Pro, half as fast as a 9600, and that is even three times slower than an 9800. I would send that back and exchange it for at least a 9600XT if not a 9800 Pro (They're practically $200 even now) if you plan to do anything resembling gaming. And if you aren't gaming, then why would you want to o/c your CPU? I guess I'm just surprised.
Opteron 165 @ 280x9 = 2.52GHz

BFG 7600GT OC
Corsair 2GB DDR400 Dual Channel
Seagate Barracuda 200GB SATA
NEC 3500A 16X DL DVD±RW
Well, this is the first system I've built, and I've never really delved into video cards much. Will take all your advice though, look into a better one. Thanks

definately a good idea, at least a 9600XT but if you can afford it look for a 9700PRO or even a 9800PRO/XT

Haven't got it yet, Fedex said tomorrow, but I got the PowerColor 9800SE for $159 I hope to get a good card to do the softmod trick w/Omega's 4.2xx drivers and unlock the 4 locked pipelines, with 128mb 2.4ns ram, 256 bit, and all 8 pipes open she'll be a 9800 PRO. Some cards work fine, others show artifacts w/8 pipes, its potluck.
well, looked around for awhile and found this card that supports video capture also. I have some hi-8 film i'd like to transfer to dvd. what do you guys think?
