Getting spots on my lappy.

Left it in a frozen environment, car at 20 degrees and now I have two spots on my screen. They are red and black. So it is a dot with line thru it. So on this lcd laptop, is this a damaged or frozen screen? Can that happen? I can actually see it a little when it is off. So what's with that?
