How fast can P4 2.6GHZ go up to?

I have P4 2.6GHZ 800MHZ w/ ABIT VI7 mobo that I would love to o/c. I used to have P3 with BE6 mobo which I was able to o/c to 800mhz.... I have been away from o'clocking for awhile and want to get an idea of how much I can push this processor. Thanks in advance....

Probably up to about 3.2-3.4 give or take depending on the individual chip and the rest of the system.

which way is less stressful on the cpu? changing the multiplier or FSB? how about voltage?

You can't change the multiplier on a P4, if you want to overclock you have to up the fsb.

Yes and that means the motherboard and memory will likely be the limitting factor in your overclock as you will be pushing into the 1000Mhz bus range pretty quickly. The core can take quite a bit with enough voltage and cooling with some hitting close to 3.6-3.8Ghz on air cooling. With pretty standard compaonants you'd be lucky to get much past 3Ghz.

I just ordered that same cpu last night and i want to overclock to 3.6 , any suggestions on what kind of cpu fan i'd need ?
