    any combat flight sim players??

I'm thinking about getting a flight stick and a combat sim... For the sim I want something as realistic as possible, with modern day fighters(so a really complex game ). Good graphics are a plus, multiplayer would be nice, and replayability is a must. Can you guys recomend me a good game??

Below is a flightstick that looks decent... But I was really not thinking of spending quite so much on it, but I will if necessay. Anyone have a better recomendation??

    Thanks,

    Corey,

I have that same flight stick and it is excellent. There are only two features (well maybe three) that it does not have, or that could be improved. First, I wish that the stick itself had a third axis (twist) that many of the others have. Second, it does not have force-feedback, though I have not been to big a fan of that feature in other product. Third, the rudder control on the throttle stick does not return to an exact zero, ie it returns to a slightly different spot depending on if you push left or right giving the craft a slight "drift" one direction. Other than that, there are switches and knobs galore and they are all easily re-mappable to keyboard presses using their software.

As for the flight sims, the best I have played lately is Comanche 4. Though it is not really the most "realistic" from a flight model perspective, the graphics are outstanding and the abundance of opponents make it hard as hell in later levels (including soldiers shooting at you with RPG's from the ground). It is a beast to run on a lower end computer, though, so make sure you have at least a 2GHz or equivalent system and a decent video card. You can pick it up at most stores for ~$15 or so and read more at www.novalogic.com.
