    Mouse laggin!

    I just recently installed Windows 2K on an old 8.4 gb Samsung and everytime the hard drive is in use, the mouse seems to skip repeatedly until it stops being used. This hasnt happened on my other system with the same mouse and I just want to wonder what's wrong with it.

    Could it be the crappy hard drive?

    Tried installing the latest motherboard chipset drivers on the system?

    I installed their latest BIOS but I still get the same results. I tried a different mouse but it still lags the same.

    People've been telling me that the ECS motherboard is the problem here. Is that true?

    I wouldn't rule out the chance of it being a motherboard problem. Don't give up yet though.

    Download the SiS IDE chipset drivers and install those. These drivers are for the SiS 735 chipset on your ECS K7S5A, assuming that's the one you're having problems with.

    Installed the IDE drivers but I'm still getting the lag...
