    Stuttering CD-ROM drive

    Since moving my ASUS CD-Writer to my second IDE channel to make way for a DVD-ROM drive it stutters when playing normal Audio CD's.

    The DVD Drive will play them fine and when I move the ASUS back to The Primary channel it is fine.

    I've tried updating the VIA Bus master drivers but this had no effect

    A number of CDRW drives has a preference to being configured as Master...

    No known workaround for avoiding above.
