Control characters not working on Hp printer in Windows XP
I'm trying to make an old MS-DOS application work on a network printer in Windows XP. Only problem is that the ESC characters supposed to configure lpp and size etc.: are not working and print as normal characters instead. Does someone know of something peculiar in Xp related to MS-DOS? The printer is an HP Laserjet 2200 thnx for any help...
I found the problem. have to go in the printer properties on the printer server machine, tab Advanced, then click in "Print Processor" (or something like that), then mark WinPrint to the left and RAW to the right.
