Glowing keys

Hey, I was reading a post somewhere, and the guy on it said it would be cool to have a keyboard where the LETTERS/NUMBERS light up, not the whole key. So I have an idea:

Get a Dremel (I think that is what they are, I have never used one) and a really old/useless keyboard. Drill out all of the letters like a stencil, so that the middle of the "O" and such won't fall out. Then, put some glow wire or LEDs or a cold cathode under your keys, and viola! You could probably cover the tops of the keys with something so that they wouldn't be all rough from Demelling

Does anyone with a lot of free time want to try this out?

Hmm... I bet cutting out little letters from glow in the dark stickers would be easier than that.
