Garmin GPS

My Garmin Gps works fine with my desktop but fails to work with my Laptop. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to work. The desktop has the same settings as the laptop. The GPS connects with a serial cable. I have checked the comm. port addresses, port speed, hardware conflicts, bios, the GPS. I have a serial mouse and it works fine.

I did a search for "Garmin" and your post pulled up. Did you ever fix your problem?

I've got a Garmin GPS 3 Plus, I'm trying to connect it to MS Streets & Trips 2001. Do I need drivers to connect to my laptop or should it find it automatically?

not sure but kyle only posted once in '99... i bet he had to sell his gps after the great depression
