    athlon fan

    What fan should i get for my Athlon xp 2200+!??My Volcano 9 is loud and doesnt cut the mustard.

    ASUS M2N-E
    AMD x2 4200+
    (2x)1GB Corsair XMS DDR2 PC6400

    If I were you, I would get a SLK 800, or 900 with a quiet 80mm fan on it great heatsinks

    check out newegg.com, or pricewatch.com to see what stores have the best prices fo rthe heatsink. You can get the fan with it online, or go to CompUSA to check out their selection

    Slk-800 is Animal, But thats alot of money!!

    Why don't you use the switch it came with to turn it down to a lower speed.
    I have not done this yet with mine but I will.

    This option is the cheapest by the way. And you'll only notice a few degree's differance with the SLK-800, if your into OC'ing then buy the SLK-800.
