Anyone seen anything about this... well.. erm thing?
Coolermaster ASB-V73
Fan Dimension: 70 x 70 x 70 mm
Rated Speed: 1900~4500 rpm
Air Flow: 10.9~26.9 CFM
Rated Voltage: 7~13.8V
Heat Sink Dimension: 71 x 71 x 38 mm
Heat Sink Type: Copper Skived Fin
Socket Type: A, 370, 462
*Air Pressure : 2.9~20.3mmH2O
I guess this is some attempt to deal with the deadzone usually found with the standard fan type under the center. I can't stop looking at it as if its some weird waterwheel though

geezus, first everyone jumps on the XP bandwagon now everyones imitating the Geforce FX cooler style hmm.. the variable resistor and no mention of dB rating make me suspect it might sound as loud too

By the way, what does BTW stand for?
It is better to be tried by 12, than carried by 6.
Hehe, If I get one of those and place a very small Hamster in "the wheel" do you think I will be able to run it without connecting any power to the fan.

LOL. Good plan. But if you forget to feed and water your hamster your CPU might overheat. Plus it might get a little tired if you have a marathon gaming session...

Thats why you get a TEAM of hamsters. One hamster will get hot and need a break. Once you have 2 hampters, more will come.
Looks, well, different. I guess we will see when they review it. I would assume that it's quieter, since home ACs and Furnaces use a similar fan to cycle air quietly through the house. Of course this thing is pretty small, so who knows.
Give what you cannot keep to gain what you cannot lose.

that made me chuckle!

I'm thinking you'll need a hamster resourvoir. So that when one of the team gets hot and needs a break it exits via a tube to the resourvoir and the next one takes its place, otherwise the heat build up from the team in you case would probably counteract the cooling they were producing...
Hmmmmm

Twin hampster wheels. Well if you look it does not list a db range and the CFM is pretty low. A standard 80mm fan would likely have performed much better. If it had cool lights in that fan arrangement, then maybe just for looks, but the actually cooling capabilities are likely limited.

you're forgetting though, it forces the air across the shole surface, unlike normal fans with the motor in the middle, that keeps the air away from where it does best
