    Question 9700 PRO Retail $330.00 NOW or Wait for R350?

    WHich to do.

    Buy 9700 PRO now for $330.00, ATI original-retail boxed.
    Wait for 9800/9900/10000???

    I have an 8500 128MB now.

    They will come down in price and get it then. I still have my radeon 7500 and works fine for me.

    Wait for R350 (only a week left now). If you are prepared to pay $330 for a 9700 Pro right now you will be willing to pay $350+ for a 9800 when it comes out. Get on ATi's site and subscribe to their "Are you ready for more..." campaign. You might get early notice of a rebate scheme.

    Failing that buy a 9700non-Pro right now and get gaming. 9500NP-to-9700NP mod aside, the 9700NP is the best value video card you can buy right now, in my opinion.
