power supply recomendations? buying tomorrow

going to be buying a thermaltake xaser 2 case tomorrow and need a new psu to accomodate those 5 fans and the hardcano 9

my choices are these since its what is available from the shop.

enermax 350w e6365a-6
thermaltake 420w w0008R <---looking like my favourite
420W hiper power?
450W CWT?

ive heard of hiper power but CWT? any ideas?
the cwt seems to have the most amps on the 12V rail which seems good.
not sure about the enermax 350W may not be enough for nowadays standards

Ideas?

my 300 CWT was pretty nice (2 fans & 3.3V+5V =160W) and according to some reviews around the net it is actually same as Antec.

I don't know about 450W version though

BTW the sys in my sig ran with that PSU, however when I added extra hdd it was a bit too much (CD,DVD,fans,...)

im running my system off a generic 300w psu which i dont think is AMD approved. hehe

you should be fine with the 350w enermax, but the thermaltake may be a good choice.

if you can afford it, see if they have a 431w enermax. MuFu has one and i haven't heard him complaining!

right just ordered the case and thermaltake psu
all i need now is my new cpu probably abour an 1800 tbred B
but im in major debt now.
what ever happened to the enermax you were going to get?

Look for a Robanton 600W. Very inexpensive and power to spare. Got mine for $58.00 at motherboards.com

Try the TT-520SS (links to a review) 520w. It's like an inexpensive Antec TruePower power supply. It's got 260w across the 5v and 3.3v lines and you also get a 5v line adjustment in case it dips on high overclocks. If you read the review, you'll see that it has great voltage regulation. I ordered myself one yesterday. You may not be able to find it in the UK because I could only find one US store that carried it- www.directron.com. I wouldn't buy any power supply without reading a review showing how well it could keep the 5v line at ~5v first. Sure you could buy a cheap 550w power supply, but if your 5v line dips below 4.8v, it doesn't matter how much extra juice it has left, you're still going to experience instability on an overclock.

like i said i bought the thermaltake one in the end
i read a few reviews not that many out there
it was an australian site and it got 9/10 and the rails were very close to what they should be.

im only replacing mine because the
12V rail gets about 12.4
5V gets about 4.79
and the 3.3 gets about 3.49

not good at all when i actually checked

i'd most likely go with another enermax (i've got a EG365P-VE right now) or an antec. from what anand said, they are both pretty sweet, with a slight edge going to antec.
