which one do i buy, i have a 1.2 ghz athlon 133mhz, 256megs of ddr ram 266mhz,
and currently have a Geforce 2 Mx400 64 megs of ram, and its not the greatest card.
Ive heard theres not a big diff from the ti4200 to the ti4600 to justify the price.
i whould love the ATI RADEON 9700 Pro but its a little out of my price range
any help whould be great thanks
my 3dmark right now is 2700 with that setup what will the upgrade give me roughly

The 9000 doesn't, the 9500 Pro most definitely does though. It's a fairly easy choice to make; the 9500 Pro is about Ti4600 speed overall and substantially faster when using FSAA and anisotropic filtering.
On that rig I'd guess 7000-7500 3DMarks, max at default settings.

Yeah, I wouldn't call a Ti4200 or 9500Pro "budget" cards. Those are some of the fastest cards on the market.. Wish I had the cash for a 9500Pro as well as the four hard drives I need but I can't afford either..

First place you should look is www.pricewatch.com. When you find a price you like, look at the retailer and go to www.resellerratings.com to find out if they're trustworthy or not.
Or you could just save time and go to www.newegg.com. Newegg provides good service and good prices.
